About the Organization

The University of West Attica (UNIWA) is a major Greek public university established in 2018 through the merger of two technological institutes. With six schools, 27 departments, and over 50,000 students, it is Greece’s third-largest university.

UNIWA’s School of Health and Care Sciences is a regional hub for applied health education and research. Its Department of Midwifery offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, emphasizing evidence-based care, digital health, and community engagement. The university’s Information Management Lab leads innovation in digital repositories and data science, while UNIWA’s Research and Innovation Centre participates in multiple EU projects advancing digital education and public-health resilience.

Work Package Overview​

UNIWA coordinates project governance, ethics, dissemination, and EU policy alignment. It ensures all deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards and oversees the creation of the METIS website, stakeholder communication, and impact assessment. UNIWA also bridges project outputs with EU initiatives such as the European Health Workforce Strategy and Digital Education Action Plan.

Work Package Objectives

Establish and chair the Quality & Ethics Board.

Oversee QA reviews and compliance for all deliverables.

Develop the communication strategy, website, and media outputs.

Conduct impact evaluation using the Kirkpatrick model.

Lead policy dialogue and dissemination with EU institutions.
